Valerie has been acting on and off since she was 3 years old, and she continues to be cast for roles in television, film, commercials and voice over. Whether playing the guest role of Cat in the successful direct-to-DVD children’s series “The Wheels on the Bus,” distraught Army mom lead in the short film “Away From Home,” compassionate office manager lead Grace Johnson in "Telephone Courtesy," or delivering the mail as Mail Carrier Carla as part of the Emmy-nominated “Hip Hop Harry,” Valerie is described as a dynamic, versatile, thinking actor who takes direction well.
As a host or roving correspondent, Valerie has a captivating presence and a warm interview style that puts people at ease while keeping them engaged. On stage in a live improv comedy performance, her facial expressions, character interpretations, and big voice are sure to capture attention and engage laugh muscles!
She has trained for over 20 years in workshops and intensives in 5 states, including a 2-week intensive at the Bali Conservatory in 2008, and a 4-week intensive in 2006 at the School for Film and Television in New York, which she attended as a scholarship recipient. She has been a regular member of The Actors Room, an advanced television and film workshop led by writer/director/producer Steven G. Lowe. She has also studied with Kirk Baltz of The Actors Intensive, and at The Acting Center with David Palladino and others. She is represented by Judy Belshe of American Rascals Talent. A Marine Corp-"brat" and native of Virginia, has lived in 10 States and traveled to more than 27 countries.
